This is Book 1 in the Joseph Bridgeman series, and this is Audiobook Fanatic’s first listen from author Nick Jones. Twenty-two years after the disappearance of his sister Amy, Joe’s family and personal life have fallen apart. After meeting with a hypnotherapist, Joe discovers he’s capable of time travel, and his immediate impulse is to return to 1997 to save Amy. The dangers and consequences of time travel are quickly realized, and Joe seeks help from three very delightful characters.
Renowned narrator Ray Porter portrays British Joe with a strong American accent—a contentious choice, but as the story progresses, it becomes apparent that Joe is a very special person, and this standout voice is fitting. This may be an easy listen, but the story contains complex themes of serendipity, spiritual mastery, and the butterfly effect. If this all sounds compelling, definitely give this one a listen!
