REVIEW

Similar to Book 1, the story is fast-paced, cleverly crafted, and full of exciting twists. For those who don’t want to invest in the whole series, there is sufficient backstory that this could be read as a standalone. In comparison to Book 1, the overall storyline is not quite as compelling but still manages to keep listeners engaged with a truly unique plot and the introduction of several intriguing new characters.

Narrator Ray Porter delivers another top-notch performance, bringing exuberant energy to many high-intensity action scenes. The story builds throughout and presents several unforeseen twists in the second half. The epilogue delivers several hints of what is to come in further installments, suggesting an even more complex and fascinating series for listeners!
