Then the letter from the police arrives.

Andrea Beaumont is a missing person.

Desperate for answers, Sabina dives headlong into a frantic search for the daughter she never knew. But the deeper she digs, the more certain she becomes that Andrea isn’t coming home.

And yet…as Sabina follows the disturbing trail of evidence, she swears she can feel her daughter reaching through her dreams, warning her—and guiding her toward the truth.

But someone else is watching—and keeping close tabs on Sabina’s search. And they’ll do whatever it takes to make sure the truth stays buried.

REVIEW

Forget You Saw Her is an emotionally charged psychological (supernatural) thriller with elements of true crime, grief, guilt, and buried secrets. This book is the standalone prequel to one of the author’s most popular books, Ask for Andrea—so it’s a great idea to binge both books back to back!

The story follows Sabina, who, 17 years ago, gave up her newborn daughter, Andrea, for adoption. When a letter arrives from the police informing Sabina that Andrea has been missing for months, she plunges herself into the search for the daughter she never knew. As she digs deep, she begins to suspect that Andrea isn’t coming home and that someone dangerous is watching her.

The story alternates between Sabina, Andrea, and Isabelle’s (another teen who crosses Andrea’s path) POVs in the present day and in past timelines, which slowly reveals what happened to the teens. Sabina’s POV is emotional, and her inner monologues show her urgency as a mother needing to know the truth. Andrea’s chapters quickly reveal the reason behind her vanishing and the new reality she’s forced to live. The timelines move toward each other until they merge in a thrilling, emotional conclusion.

Sabina is the emotional core of the story. She’s a mother haunted by past choices and regret and is determined to get to the truth no matter how painful. As the story unfolds, she begins to feel a strong connection to Andrea through instincts and dreams—in a way that feels very authentic, relatable, and for readers! There’s also Isabelle, another teen who went missing after leaving home—her story runs parallel to and intersects with Andrea and Sabina’s in chilling ways and will keep readers furiously turning pages! All the relationships in this book are complex and captivating—between Sabina and Andrea, there’s heartfelt absence and hope; between Sabina and Andrea’s adoptive family, there’s extreme tension and suspicion; between the missing girls, there’s a synchronistic spiritual bond! The emotional arcs are very powerful, especially Sabina’s journey from grief to resiliency—so be sure to have the tissues ready!

The pacing in this book will keep readers hooked! The opening quickly introduces the characters and the mystery and sets up a lot of lingering questions. The midsection becomes faster paced and more intricate, and from there the story never lets go. The POVs and timelines shift often, getting deep into Sabina’s investigations and the parallel supernatural threads, and the story gets more interesting with every chapter! The ending brings confrontation, reckoning, and a lot of emotional intensity, giving a mixture of relief and discomfort in the best possible way! And knowing that this is only a prequel will make readers want to pick up its follow-up, Ask For Andrea, immediately after!

In summary, this is a standout emotional (supernatural) thriller that seamlessly weaves themes of motherhood, loss, adoption, and haunted pasts in a compelling story with characters readers will care about! It’s a must-read for fans of Noelle’s work, those who have read Ask For Andrea, or anyone who enjoys emotionally charged domestic or supernatural thrillers that linger long after the final page!
Narrator Performance

The audiobook of Forget You Saw Her is read by powerhouse award-winning narrators: Andi Arndt, Brittany Pressley, and Carlotta Brentan—all of whom are renowned for their narration of thrillers! Andi Arndt performs the voice of Sabina (the mother protagonist) and brilliantly brings out the character’s weight of guilt, fear, and determination. She uses a steady, measured tone to accurately portray a woman trying to keep it together while searching for answers. In Sabina’s inner monologues and the more emotionally intense scene near the end, Arndt’s acting skills come alive, keeping listeners in full suspense.

Carlotta Brentan portrays teenager Andrea in past and present timelines using a vulnerable, haunted-sounding voice that mirrors the character’s unknown fate. As the story unfolds, and Andrea becomes determined to help her mother, Carlotta shifts her performance to show a more fearless Andrea whose wit and determination are compelling. Brittany Pressley voices teen and adult Isabella in past and present timelines with a lot of emotional intensity, especially in scenes where the character is threatened or having conflict with her family. Pressley vividly brings Isabelle to life and makes the dialogue between Isabelle and Andrea especially compelling and their bond so heartfelt!

The story is perfectly paced by all three narrators—slower and more deliberate during the initial chapters and inner monologues, allowing the characters to be seen and fully understood by listeners, and quicker and with more vocal range during confrontational and thrilling scenes. The shift between narrators is seamless, helping listeners follow the intricate story and changes in timeline and viewpoint without any confusion. Each narrator also provides distinct voices to make all the characters they narrate sound distinct and authentic, especially the villain character whose sinister-sounding voice makes him instantly unlikable!

Overall, the top-notch performances of all three narrators elevate this book to another level, bringing the characters to life and making the audiobook an unstoppable listen! This audiobook is a must-listen for those who enjoy psychological thrillers with multiple POVs and timelines, supernatural suspense, missing‑person mysteries, and multicast productions where each narrator is equally compelling and engaging. If all this sounds good, grab a copy ASAP—and once you’ve binge-listened, you’ll want to immediately listen to the sequel, Ask For Andrea, for the ultimate immersive experience!
