This was a good month for audiobook listening. I was able to listen to and review 12 audiobooks, a few of which were outstanding!
Rounding out the top three are:
-
- JUST FOR THE SUMMER by Abby Jimenez: This is a great love story with more serious topics, including unresolved trauma, abandonment, and dysfunctional families. The story is not predictable and is fully captivating from start to finish. This is the third book in a series, but each book can be enjoyed as a standalone.
- BURY YOUR GAYS by Chuck Tingle. This is an ultra-unique sci-fi horror book that is addictive from start to finish. There are definitely some creepy scenes that will keep you on edge. The audiobook features a cast of acclaimed narrators and authors, but most of the narration is done by Andre Santana—and done superbly! This is Chuck Tingle’s best book to date!
- THE LOVE OF MY AFTERLIFE by Kirsty Greenwood. This is a highly original and fully entertaining romantic comedy that will have you laughing, smiling, and emotionally invested the entire way through. The characters are fantastic, and the storyline is filled with magical realism. This is definitely one you won’t want to miss this year, but it is definitely perfect for spring to autumn.
