This month was a difficult call! There were several standout performances, and narrowing it down to three wasn’t easy!
Coming out on top was Andi Arndt for her top-notch, thrilling, and engrossing narration in “She’s Not Sorry; This was a slow-burn thriller, but she kept me fully invested in the story throughout and was very convincing!
Secondly, acclaimed narrator Imogen Church delivered a wildly entertaining and suspenseful performance in The Spare Room. The book is a unique thriller that wouldn’t necessarily stand out as exceptional, but once again, Imogen took the story to a whole new level of enjoyment!
Lastly, Graham Halstead’s riveting performance of a teenager named Noah York navigating life in a new town without his father and in the midget of a sexual awakening and his mother’s breakdown was exceptional! This book is a top-notch YA read, and Graham was perfectly suited for the characters and storyline.
A few other notable performances, not mentioned in this post, that were definitely considered for top spots came from:
Ell Potter for her impeccable and highly entertaining performances in both of the Emily Wilde series books.
Leslie Howard’s deliciously thrilling performance in Never Lie by Freida McFadden.
Candace Fitzgerald’s excellent and exuberant performance of a wonderful middle school student in Jett Jamison and the Secret Storm.
