Top Audiobook Reviews for
May 2024

This was another fantastic month for audiobook listening. Audiobook Fanatic was able to listen to and review 14 audiobooks, and almost all were excellent listens with 4 stars or above!

Rounding out the top three are:

1. Emily Wilde’s Map Of The Otherworlds. This is the second book in the fantastical Emily Wilde fantasy series and, notably, a stronger book than the first book in the series. The story had all the elements to make this an amazing fantasy—amazing characters, fairies, magic, and exciting locations.

2. Leave Myself Behind is the sensational debut novel from Bart Yates, originally published in 2004. The audiobook was produced in 2023. The story exceeds your average YA coming-of-age story in many ways. Not only does the story have great, memorable characters, but it also has a very unique, meaningful storyline that is more realistic and relatable than the typical YA or romance novel.

3. Never Lie: This audiobook is engrossing from the first word to the last. Typical of Freida McFadden’s style, the story is not complex but has some serious twists that will delight listeners. The story is also fast-paced and interesting throughout. It’s one you can easily devour in a day!
