ABOUT THE NARRATOR

CARLOTTA BRENTAN is a New York-based actor, director, and audiobook narrator of over 300 titles, which have earned 10 Earphones Awards and an Audie nomination. Her narration has been praised as “a master class in poignant storytelling” (Audiofile), “glorious, pitch-perfect, and dreamlike” (Library Journal), and “understated and skilled, keeping the listeners on the edge of their seats.” (Booklist) She records for all major publishers and can regularly be heard voicing NY Times & Audible bestsellers, Reese’s and GMA Book Club picks, Apple Audiobooks “Must Listens,” and FT and Oprah Daily’s “Best Audiobooks,” as well as Pulitzer Prize-winning novels.

Carlotta is a bilingual English and Italian speaker and a French and Spanish speaker and specializes in a wide range of European accents. She draws on her wealth of performance experience to create emotionally authentic, intimate listening experiences, bringing to life the stories of complex, opaque, mysterious women on journeys of self-discovery across genres including Literary Fiction, Historical Fiction, Psychological Thrillers and YA with an edge. Carlotta is a Conservatory-trained actor, a theater director of productions in New York and London, and a commercial VO actor, as well as a published & produced theatrical translator.
